Ursa Major Technologies is seeking a Solid Rocket Motor Manufacturing Engineer in Colorado to oversee production, optimize processes, and ensure high reliability in cutting-edge motors. The role requires hands-on experience in solid propulsion, materials science, and manufacturing with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3+ years in solid rocket motor manufacturing or related aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of solid rocket motor design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing process simulation tools.
• Experience with process control, quality assurance, and failure analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of NASA/DoD/ASTM standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for solid rocket motors.
• Oversee production, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Collaborate with design, testing, and QA to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement process control methods to monitor and improve production efficiency and product consistency.
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to address manufacturing defects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in rocket motor manufacturing.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications.
• Train and mentor manufacturing technicians and junior engineers in best practices and safety protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in materials, manufacturing techniques, and aerospace industry trends.
