Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical, Civil, or Materials Engineering.
• 3+ years post-degree experience.
• Experience with brittle materials testing.
• Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and optimization.
• Hands-on FEA with Abaqus/ANSYS/Tosca.

Responsibilities

• Apply solid mechanics modeling to evaluate performance and reliability.
• Use FEA to support design, failure analysis, manufacturing challenges, and improvements.
• Apply topology and shape optimization to improve efficiency and maintain stiffness.
• Develop tools to understand material and structural behavior.
• Design experiments to validate models and support recommendations.
• Provide guidance on mechanical testing and model validation.
• Collaborate with Research, Development, Manufacturing, and business teams.
• Communicate findings via reports and invention disclosures.
