Overview

Location: Hannibal, MO

Compensation: Pay is dependent upon experience

The prime objective of the Solid Fuels Technician is to prepare and feed the best quality waste fuel material in the safest manner to the recycling process. This position supports community standing, sustainable operations, and adheres to all company policies, safety standards, and federal/state regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Safety First Always. Strictly adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
2. Recycle fifty-five-gallon drums by emptying, scraping clean, smashing, and loading into hopper.
3. Operate mobile equipment as needed to move materials.
4. Operate hand tools (shoves, brooms, squeegees, scrapers, etc.).
5. Monitor equipment to ensure continuous operations; investigate failures and take corrective action.
6. Inspect mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
7. Perform minor repairs; consult with maintenance on equipment failures.
8. Troubleshoot process problems related to field operations and equipment.
9. Respond to all incoming communications via phone, radio, and other verbal inputs appropriately.
10. Must pass pre-employment screening, which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen.

Abilities, Skills & Knowledge

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
3. Computer literacy.
4. Experience operating mobile equipment.
5. Must be a team player.
6. Able to work overtime, all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
7. Proficient in English language.
