Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking skilled solder technicians to assemble and inspect PCBs and PCBAs. You will solder using SMT and through-hole techniques, interpret complex routing and wiring diagrams, and inspect for IPC-standard quality.

The role requires extended microscopy work and potential overtime during busy periods. The position is a first shift from 5:00am to 2:30pm with overtime encouraged, located on-site in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (TH and SMT)
• Experience Hand soldering.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures.
• onsite soldering assessment to J-STD-001 during interview
• Must work extended hours using a microscope for inspection and touch-ups
• IPC-610 and J-STD-001 certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Use soldering irons to attach electronic components with SMT and Thru hole technologies.
• Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics
• Perform inspections to ensure assemblies meet IPC standards
• Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts
• Modify, solder, rework, repair assemblies per specs and drawings
• Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor
