Emerald Technologies in White City, OR is seeking an entry-level Hand Solderer I to join our Medford team. This hands-on role offers training in soldering, PCBAs, and IPC/J-STD-001 standards within a collaborative environment.

You will perform soldering of thru-hole and SMT components, assemble PCBA units, and learn to troubleshoot with a supportive team, adhering to safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of soldering/assembly experience (hobby counts).
• Ability to read and follow English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on soldering of thru-hole and SMT components.
• Assemble and rework PCBAs following instructions and documentation.
• Inspect solder joints and identify common defects like bridges or cold joints.
• Maintain accurate production logs and follow established processes.
• Partner with experienced team members to troubleshoot and improve your skills.
• Follow ESD, safety, and quality standards to ensure top-notch results.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0–1 year of soldering or assembly experience (hobby experience counts!)
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification is a plus—but not required
