Job summary

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Electric Assembly – Soldering in Cranston, RI. You will hand solder and rework electronic components on printed circuit boards, reading APIs and following instructions under a microscope.

The role requires reading English, attention to detail, and prior soldering or assembly exposure. Work is performed on site in Cranston, Rhode Island with standard safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer soldering experience in electronics.
• IPC certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to read instructions in English.
• Must be able to work under microscope for long periods.

• Use hand and power tools such as soldering irons, cutters, pliers, and scopes.
• Perform intermediate hand assembly/soldering operations.
• Install surface mount components (hand soldering).
• Identify and place very small components in tight spaces without damage.
• Keep work area clean, safe and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Read and follow standard Assembly Process Instructions (APIs)
• Solder SMT and through-hole components
• Use hand and power tools such as soldering irons, cutters, pliers, and scopes
• Perform intermediate hand assembly/soldering operations
• Installation of surface mount components (Skill hand soldering)
• Identify and apply very small components in very small spaces without damaging adjacent parts
• Keep work environment clean, safe and orderly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Background/Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Previous soldering experience preferred
• IPC Certification preferred, but not required
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred, but not required
• Must be able to read instructions in English
• Must be able to work under microscope for long periods of time
