Job summary

Sypris Electronics, LLC is seeking a Solderer (second shift) to perform soldering, SMT touch-up, and various mechanical assembly tasks in a dynamic electronics environment.

Applicants should have at least one year of soldering/assembly experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to meet vision requirements. Work may involve standing or sitting for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds; U.S. citizenship and security clearance could be required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of soldering and assembly experience.
• Vision corrected to 20/20 and ability to distinguish colors.
• Standing or sitting for extended periods of time may be required.
• Infrequent lifting and moving of material up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to obtain a US Government granted security clearance, if necessary.
• Successful completion of training programs (ESD & Class 0 Certification; Component Identification Training; Foreign Object Debris Training; Component/PWB Handling; Right-To-Know Training; Moisture Sensitive Devices; IPC & J-STD Solder Certification; IPC 7711/7721 Certification; Move Safe Product; Part Installation; Operator Self Inspection).

Responsibilities

• Solder components onto boards.
• SMT touch-up and repair.
• Hand/laser marking and mechanical assembly.
• Bonding, routing and mechanical rework as assigned.
• Board cleaning and material handling.
• Complex box builds and operator self-inspection tasks.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and assess product quality.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; operate barcode scanning equipment and basic computer tools.
