Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to recruit a Hybrid SolarWinds Administrator in Austin, TX. You will administer, maintain, optimize, and support the SolarWinds environment across on-premises and cloud components.

The role requires 4+ years in SolarWinds Orion management (NPM/NCM/SAM), virtualization experience with VMware/Hyper-V, and strong monitoring/reporting skills. This is a 1-year W2 contract with a hybrid work arrangement.

• 4 years of experience administering SolarWinds Orion Platform (NPM/NCM/SAM) and upgrades.
• 4 years of virtualization experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
• 4 years managing large-scale environments with 1,500+ devices.
• 4 years designing alerting strategies to reduce noise and improve response.
• 4 years building NOC dashboards and executive reports.
• 4 years developing custom SQL queries and reports.
• 4 years automating workflows with Power Automate, Teams, Power BI.
• 4 years troubleshooting monitoring issues and incident resolution.

Responsabilidades

• Generate reports and analyze performance trends for infrastructure improvements.
• Integrate SolarWinds with AD, ITSM, email/SMS, SNMP, WMI, Syslog, and APIs.
• Support monitoring across routers, switches, wireless, VMs, and cloud resources.
• Manage RBAC, secure configurations, and audit/compliance reporting.
• Troubleshoot monitoring gaps, polling failures, and outages with root cause analysis.

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a hybrid SolarWinds Administrator in Austin, Tx . In this position, you will perform administration, maintenance, optimization, and support of the SolarWinds environment.

Major duties

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SolarWinds products and modules, including Orion and Hybrid Cloud Observability components.
• Configure polling engines, web servers, and database connectivity; perform backups, disaster recovery, health checks, and platform performance optimization.
• Configure and manage network, server, application, NetFlow, log, and configuration monitoring.
• Develop custom alerts, thresholds, escalation workflows, dashboards, and operational views while reducing false positives.
• Generate operational and executive reports, analyze performance and capacity trends, and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Integrate SolarWinds with Active Directory, BMC Remedy/Helix ITSM, email/SMS systems, SNMP, WMI, Syslog, and APIs.
• Support monitoring across routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, virtual environments, and cloud resources.
• Manage RBAC, secure configurations, credential management, security updates, and audit/compliance reporting.
• Troubleshoot monitoring gaps, polling failures, and platform performance issues and support outages, root cause analysis, and incident response.

What are we looking for?

• 4 years of experience administering and supporting the SolarWinds Orion Platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, upgrades, patching, and feature adoption.
• 4 years of experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• 4 years of experience monitoring and maintaining large-scale enterprise environments with 1,500+ devices.
• 4 years of experience designing and optimizing alerting strategies to reduce noise and improve response times.
• 4 years of experience building and maintaining NOC dashboards and executive reports for real-time and historical visibility.
• 4 years of experience developing custom SQL queries and reports for availability, performance, and capacity tracking.
• 4 years of experience automating workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Teams, and Power BI.
• 4 years of experience troubleshooting monitoring issues, polling failures, and platform services.
• 4 years of experience collaborating with network and infrastructure teams on root cause analysis and incident resolution.
• 4 years of experience maintaining documentation, standards, and monitoring best practices.
• 4 years of strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred

• 4 years of network engineering experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, or Juniper.
• 4 years of experience working in public‑sector or regulated environments.
• 4 years of knowledge of networking fundamentals, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and routing/switching.
• 4 years of experience developing SOPs and applying continuous improvement methodologies.
