Job summary

Sun Solar in Cahokia, IL is seeking a Solar Warehouse & Inventory Specialist to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and material readiness for solar installations and service work.

The successful candidate will monitor stock levels, manage receiving and storage of solar-related materials, and collaborate with Operations to ensure timely availability for field crews. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience in solar, electrical, construction, home improvement, or renewable energy preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret project plan sets and identify material needs; solar plan set experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of inventory management, material control, and warehouse procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and planning skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Manage Cahokia warehouse operations, organization, accuracy, and readiness.
• Maintain accurate inventory records including tracking, counts, reconciliation, and movement of materials and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and project needs to identify shortages or discrepancies and address issues.
• Receive, inspect, document, organize, and store incoming materials and equipment.
• Review project plan sets to identify and stage materials and supplies for scheduled work.
• Coordinate with Operations and field personnel regarding upcoming projects and material availability.
• Utilize inventory systems to maintain accurate warehouse records.
• Provide general onsite office coverage as needed and communicate with suppliers and crews.
