Job summary

Steven Douglas Corp (SDC) is seeking a Service Technician – Solar Test and Inspection Machines to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize automated solar-test equipment. Based in Perrysburg, OH, you will travel to customer facilities and occasionally to Concord, OH for training and collaboration with engineering and leadership teams.

The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical skills, with HVAC systems, heaters, and electronic measurement gear as core areas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in service of automated machinery or manufacturing systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience servicing HVAC, heaters, and environmental chambers.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel locally and to SDC HQ.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally to service equipment in Perrysburg area.
• Manage customer communications during visits.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical faults.
• Configure and calibrate HVAC and measurement equipment.
• Support with robotics exposure a plus.
• Conduct preventative maintenance audits.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support.
• Document services and share learnings.
