Job summary

Steven Douglas Corp (SDC) is seeking a Service Technician for Solar Test and Inspection Machines to service and troubleshoot automated equipment at customer sites in the Perrysburg, OH area. The role involves mechanical and electrical diagnostics, with travel to SDC HQ in Concord, Ohio for training as needed.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of hands-on experience with automated machinery, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with HVAC systems and electronic

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated machinery or manufacturing systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to support troubleshooting.
• EPA 608 certification preferred; HVAC experience acceptable.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% to customer sites and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally between customer facilities (Perrysburg, OH area) to service specialized solar test equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automated machinery and test equipment.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and calibrate HVAC systems, heaters, and electronic measurement equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex issues and provide field feedback.
• Document service actions and outcomes for customers and invoicing.
