Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Solar Technician to assist in operating and maintaining the Koshkonong Solar Energy Center in Cambridge, WI. The role involves routine maintenance on solar and substation gear, plus vegetation management and troubleshooting of inverter, tracker, and network issues.

You will work 7:00am–3:30pm weekdays with overtime and occasional night shifts, requiring outdoor work and the ability to lift up to 45 kg. Travel up to 30% may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1 year of technical electrical experience or related education.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance periods.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to climb and work from a ladder safely.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Conduct vegetation management per plan and operate large equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues including inverters, trackers, network, and subsystems.
• Understand electrical/mechanical/hydraulic functions of site components.
• Daily site maintenance with proper safety equipment inspections and repairs.
• Support 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday schedule with overtime and potential night shifts.
• Maintain tools, facilities, and a clean work environment.
