Invenergy in Bastrop, TX, is seeking a Solar Technician for the Beekman Energy Center. You will assist in operating and maintaining a 185 MW-AC solar facility, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, and support site performance.

The role requires a 1-year technical background, ability to travel up to 30%, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Night work may be scheduled, with a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic technical experience in electrical systems.
• Travel up to 30% and ability to work nights during maintenance periods.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 100 lb.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site equipment.
• Operate vegetation management and use large equipment as required.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, and substation faults.
• Inspect and repair site components daily and follow safety protocols.
• Flex schedule 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, with potential overtime/night work.
