Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Bastrop, LA is seeking a Solar Technician for the Beekman Energy Center. You will assist in operating and maintaining a 185 MW-AC solar facility, performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site equipment and substation components.

The role requires a high school diploma, roughly one year of technical experience, willingness to travel up to 30%, and the ability to work nights and outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year technical experience (electrical) or technical education.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb and work safely from a portable ladder.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management and operate equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, inverter, and tracker issues.
• Inspect, maintain and repair equipment daily with proper safety gear.
