Job summary

Duke Energy Florida is seeking a Solar Tech II to provide on-call and on-site support across multiple PV plant sites within our service area. You will troubleshoot equipment and support start-up and ongoing operations, helping ensure reliability and performance.

The role involves scheduling maintenance, coordinating contractors and technicians, adhering to safety standards, and contributing to long-term O&M improvements. A focus on teamwork and problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in electrical maintenance or Solar PV systems preferred.
• Must have MASS test completion and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Design changes and equipment modifications.
• Schedule maintenance, installation, and start-up support; support existing performance and reliability.
• Assist in testing schedules and assign testers, technicians, and engineers to tasks; improve O&M processes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and regulatory requirements; monitor safety objectives.
• Provide leadership to achieve safety results and oversee contractors.
