Job summary

Resonant Energy seeks a Solar System Designer to create PV system designs for nonprofit and affordable housing clients in Boston. You will evaluate sites, generate layouts and single-line diagrams, and prepare interconnection documents for utility approval.

You will collaborate with management and project teams, ensure codes and standards are met, and support commissioning. A hybrid in-office/remote schedule is offered with a focus on design excellence.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in solar design or electrical engineering required.
• Drone license and drone flight experience preferred.
• Experience with solar PV systems, electrical diagrams, and codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design solar PV systems and layouts for nonprofit and affordable housing sites.
• Create single-line diagrams and interconnection paperwork.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet client requirements and codes.
• Provide design support during installation and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate design records in the company database.
• Engage stakeholders to gather site data and ensure design compliance.
