Job summary

Michigan Solar Solutions, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician / Site Surveyor to join our growing renewable energy team in Michigan. The role involves daily travel from Commerce, site surveys to define installation scope, and performing service calls to diagnose power and communication issues across SolarEdge, Enphase, Sol-Ark, and related systems.

You may pilot a drone for roof and site measurements.

Qualifications

Ability to work on a roof.
Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather.
Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Team player with a collaborative mindset.
Solar/electrical experience preferred.
Drone experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys at customer sites to define scope prior to installation, including roof and site dimension checks and drone-based measurements.
Perform service calls to troubleshoot and diagnose power and communication issues across solar and related systems.
Travel to multiple sites daily using company vehicle, typically 1-4 sites per day.
Coordinate with installation crews and customers to ensure smooth handoffs and schedules.
