Job summary

Standard Energy Solutions is seeking a Solar Site Technician to perform field site surveys, assist with permitting, and interface with the Solar Design team. You will use drones and software to collect measurements, photos, and shading data while supporting inspections and administrative tasks.

This role requires 1+ year of field construction experience, PV design/electrical knowledge is preferred, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to multiple sites from Richmond, VA or

Qualifications

• 1+ years of field construction experience.
• PV design or PV electrical experience preferred.
• PV plan sets experience preferred.
• Motivated team player seeking success.
• Experience with construction design preferred.
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Professional appearance and interaction.
• Strong computer skills and valid driver’s license with ability to travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform site audits on sold systems using software and drones for measurements and shading.
• Complete and submit electronic Site Survey forms for Solar Design team.
• Use software systems to record progress of tasks.
• Submit and pick up permit packages at building departments as needed.
• Coordinate, organize and be present at jobsite for inspections.
• Support branch staff with administrative tasks and file management.
