Job summary

Core Group Resources is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent for a solar construction client based in Jackson, MI. You will lead field operations as on-site liaison among field crews, subcontractors, project managers, and safety/quality teams.

The role is hourly, non-exempt with 90–100% travel to job sites. Hotel, transportation, and per diem are provided. Expect extended hours and weekends as projects require.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years in construction with leadership/supervisory roles.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent OSHA certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and contracts.
• Ability to travel 90–100% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure OSHA, state, local, and DOT compliance.
• Conduct daily safety walks, inspections, and JHA reviews before work.
• Oversee hazard analyses and coordinate crew orientations.
• Support safety plans, signage, dig tickets, and site orientations.
• Perform SWPPP inspections and erosion control maintenance.
