Job summary

Grupoeosol is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to oversee health and safety during the construction of a utility-scale solar project in Kentucky. The role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and monitoring field activities to prevent incidents.

You will lead the HSE program, conduct site inspections and audits, coordinate with management, subcontractors, and client representatives, and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and monitoring of the project's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and job hazard analyses.
• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA regulations, project safety procedures, and relevant industry standards.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor construction activities, including civil works, mechanical installation, electrical work, and solar panel installation.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, training sessions, and daily safety briefings.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project management, construction supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives on safety matters.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, incident reports, and compliance records.
• Promote continuous improvement and accountability across all site activities.
