Job summary

Environmental Resources Management, Inc. is seeking a Site Safety Manager (Field Based) to support solar construction projects in Georgia. The role focuses on safety leadership, stakeholder communication, and on-site oversight of contractors and vendors to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

Qualified candidates bring 3+ years in construction safety, knowledge of solar technologies, and OSHA 30 hours. Travel up to 5 days per week is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years' experience in construction safety on power, utility, and civil projects; solar or renewable construction experience preferred.
• Familiarity with solar energy and battery storage technologies and sustainability objectives.
• CHST, ASP, or CSP certification preferred.
• Current OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety class or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to independently project manage with limited oversight.
• Possesses a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel up to 5 days per week.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and work around heavy machinery and in adverse outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless project execution and safety leadership on site.
• Act as liaison between developer and stakeholders to ensure progress.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet milestones on schedule.
• Provide daily safety observations and high-quality safety support.
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and pre-task planning.
• Review investigations of injuries and incidents to identify root causes.
