Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Site Development Engineer to drive civil/site design for utility-scale solar projects from our Pleasanton, CA office. You will create preliminary site plans, manage BOMs, and support bidding and development efforts across multiple projects.

The role requires AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience and a degree in engineering or science; PE license or FE candidate is preferred. Competitive compensation with bonus potential is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility-scale solar design software (PVfarm, etc.).
• Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or Science.
• Experience in civil design and engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or FE candidate or pursuing a PE license.
• Experience in programming for design automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop Preliminary Site Plans and Class 0 Bill of Materials to support project development engineering, bidding and estimating.
• Perform document reviews and provide technical support, including ALTA surveys, topographic assessments, conditional use permits, hydrology studies and environmental site assessments.
• Produce high quality, constructable Site Plans and Class 1 Bills of Materials for other engineering disciplines and construction teams.
• Conduct basic civil design work, including surface analysis, watershed analysis, and preliminary grading.
• Collaborate with other departments to support execution and construction phases, ensuring adherence to project schedule.
• Attend internal and external meetings as needed.
• Enhance team performance by seeking opportunities for process improvement and design optimization.
