Job summary

Moss is seeking a Safety Technician II to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team on Moss Solar projects. This role emphasizes developing and implementing EHS programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, DOL, and EPA regulations across multi-state sites with high travel.

The ideal candidate has an OH&S background (preferred) or 2–3 years in safety, with CHST/OHST/ASP/CSP certifications being a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or 2-3 years of experience in a safety related field.
• Must have knowledge of OSHA/industrial safety compliance and DOT/DOL/EPA regulation and as they relate to the power generation industry.
• Professional Certification/License (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire):CHST/OHST, ASP, CSP
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets Moss standards (required to drive company vehicles if/when assigned)
• Effective communication to coach and communicate safety protocols
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
• Effective organization and planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to use standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Supports EHS functions on a project site
• Supports the maintenance and implementation of EHS programs, compliance plans, and initiatives on assigned site.
• Supports and leads by influence and strategic partnership with project and construction team on assigned site
• Keeps safety credentials current
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental health and safety related risks
• Knowledge of record-keeping principles and practices
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational abilities
