Job summary

Moss is seeking a Safety Technician II to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety team on Moss Solar projects across multiple states. This role emphasizes implementing and monitoring EHS programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining safety credentials.

Ideal candidates have OSHA knowledge, related certifications, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams on-site.

Qualifications

• Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or 2-3 years of experience in a safety related field.
• Must have knowledge of OSHA/industrial safety compliance and DOT/DOL/EPA regulation as they relate to the power generation industry.
• Professional Certification/License (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire): CHST/OHST, ASP, CSP.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Moss standards (required to drive company vehicles if/when assigned).

Responsibilities

• Supports EHS functions on a project site.
• Supports the maintenance and implementation of EHS programs, compliance plans, and initiatives on assigned site.
• Supports and leads by influence and strategic partnership with project and construction team on assigned site.
• Keeps safety credentials current.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrates ability to evaluate environmental health and safety related risks.
• Knowledge of record-keeping principles and practices.
• Works independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
