Job summary

Moss is seeking a Safety Technician II to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program on Moss Solar projects. This role emphasizes implementing safety plans, coaching site teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multi-state sites in Florida.

The position requires OSHA knowledge, certifications or willingness to obtain them, and strong communication to collaborate with diverse trades. Travel will be required; Millennial safety practices welcomed.

Qualifications

  • Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or 2-3 years of safety experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/industrial safety compliance and DOT/DOL/EPA regulations.
  • Professional Certification/License (or ability to obtain within 6 months): CHST/OHST, ASP, CSP.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Moss standards.
  • Strong communication, planning and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse teams on site.

Responsibilities

  • Supports EHS functions on a project site.
  • Supports the maintenance and implementation of EHS programs, compliance plans, and initiatives on assigned site.
  • Supports and leads by influence with project and construction team on assigned site.
  • Keeps safety credentials current.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental health and safety related risks.
  • Knowledge of record-keeping principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
