Job summary

FLEXRACK by Qcells in Highland Hills, OH is seeking a Design Engineer to design and implement solar racking and tracking systems. You will work with customers and the engineering team, reporting to the Senior Project Engineering Manager.

Hybrid schedule with travel up to 10% is expected. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in engineering and has hands-on experience in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Experience designing mechanical and structural components.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Design and support development of structural and mechanical components for solar racking/tracker systems.
• Assist senior engineers in creating customer proposals.
• Create project plans, layouts, and calculation reports for engineered products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve internal systems and processes.
• Prepare product BOMs for estimates and proposals.
• Communicate with field teams to resolve product issues during construction.
• Perform structural analyses per project requirements and standards.
