Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp seeks a Senior Mechanical R&D Engineer to design and implement solar tracking systems and automated assembly equipment. You will lead cross‑functional initiatives, develop CAD models, run FEA, and drive product certifications while collaborating with internal teams.

The role is hybrid, based in Houston, TX, with up to 20% travel and regular office attendance. Minimum 5+ years in mechanical engineering and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; advanced degrees are valued.
• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering with product development & R&D.
• 5+ years’ experience with SolidWorks and Ansys.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new solar tracker and installation automation products from concept to commercialization.
• Perform hands‑on testing of prototype products in lab and field conditions.
• Create 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks; perform finite element analysis with Ansys.
• Establish product specs, testing requirements, and review test results.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to align strategy and execution.
