Job summary

CVE North America is seeking a Project Engineer (level II) to join its growing engineering team in New York. You will lead technical studies and design for medium-to-large solar projects from qualification through PTO, collaborating with Origination, Development, Construction, and Operations teams.

The role is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in the office per week) and flexibility on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Experience with solar and/or BESS.
• Medium Voltage design experience required.
• AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% and attend meetings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct project design including site layouts and electrical drawings (SLDs).
• Manage interconnection process with the local utility from application to agreement execution.
• Lead coordination with civil, electrical, structural, geotechnical, SCADA and environmental teams.
• Perform production/yield studies using PVSyst and coordinate with external firms for Energy Yield Assessments.
• Develop CAPEX & OPEX pricing with the project simulator for finance.
• Support construction with RFIs, commissioning, and performance testing; assist operations with asset performance analysis.
