Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for our Solar manufacturing operations. This 12-hour shift role leads production teams, drives safety, quality, and delivery targets, and partners with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and sustain improvements.

The role requires leadership experience in high‑volume manufacturing, strong data analysis, and excellent people skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• 2+ years in manufacturing operations.
• 3+ years of leadership supervising production teams.
• Data analysis skills to interpret data for decisions.
• Excellent people skills across levels of management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with MS Office, ERP systems, and manufacturing metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day shift operations on a 12-hour shift schedule.
• Directly supervise production employees with coaching and accountability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
• Drive production schedules and adapt to changing priorities.
• Lead or participate in cost reduction initiatives and root-cause analysis.
• Provide training on new processes, equipment, or procedures.
• Lead plant change management initiatives and ensure adoption.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and ISO/AS9100 standards compliance.
