Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Power Solutions team in Downers Grove, IL. The Project team collaborates with sales, project execution, and performance of alternate energy projects to deliver AMPS solutions.

The candidate will contribute to designing solar solutions, oversee equipment selection and logistics, and interface with clients and vendors to ensure successful implementation of solar and related power systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in general contracting, EPC, or similar industry.
• BIM experience (Revit and AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Able to organize, plan and manage multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• Be a key part of the Power Solutions team delivering turnkey power solutions to our clients.
• Take on administrative aspects of project from early preconstruction through project closeout.
• Assist with designing Solar solutions using in-house tools for design/build sales.
• Oversee equipment selection, buyout process, and logistics for full project scope.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors on technical issues for solar implementations.
• Work with Project Superintendent and Foreman to develop and review project schedule and site logistics.
• Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
• Procure solar panels, inverters, and other components from supplier networks.
• Utilize and expand our national and international equipment supplier network.
• Assist in business development by solving complex projects with clients.
• Assist in developing Solar, CHP, Micro-grid solutions as part of master power planning.
