Job summary

ACT Power Services seeks a Portfolio Engineer to act as the technical liaison for our O&M organization, overseeing performance analysis, troubleshooting, and client interface for a growing fleet of solar and storage assets. This role blends advanced engineering with maintenance planning and client presentations, requiring a broad skill set and strong communication.

The position is ideally hybrid at our main office, with remote options for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field; associate with certs considered in lieu of a four-year degree.
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and operation in power generation or industrial facilities.
• Experience with VBA, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience with PV technology, DC/AC systems, and network communications and monitoring.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Must maintain unescorted access to NERC facilities.
• Office-based with occasional site visits and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Performance analysis of solar and/or storage projects through remote DAS and SCADA systems.
• Act as the main technical contact for plant managers, field operators, utilities, and clients regarding performance and maintenance schedules.
• Prepare site performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead client calls and serve as client interface for technical issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide performance improvement recommendations.
• Develop procedures and tools for efficient operation of a diverse fleet of facilities.
• Develop tools and processes to optimize organizational performance.
