Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to drive production piles/posts and assist in installing solar array components at a renewable energy site.

You will operate pile-driving equipment and a skid steer while ensuring safety and equipment integrity. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, plus at least two years of heavy equipment operation in renewables.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Two years experience with heavy equipment operation in renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and manage functions, running, navigating and troubleshooting.
• Distribute, layout, assemble and install solar array components for a solar energy farm.
• Distribute and install piles and racking materials.
• Assist with placement of piles onto the field with a compact track loader.
• Remediate pile tolerances.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and movements.
• Communicate safety rules and job duties clearly to the team.
• Perform inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Ensure proper care and use of equipment and supplies.
