Job summary

Freedom Power in Houston, TX seeks an Assistant Regional Operations Manager – Solar to own the back-half of solar project coordination: compliance, inspections, utility coordination, reconnection, and cross-team communication. You’ll report to the ROM and help keep projects on track from permit to close.

Responsibilities include coordinating inspections, utility liaison, crew scheduling, and ensuring accurate documentation. A background in solar projects and leadership are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in project administration or field construction.
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in solar energy projects preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own inspection scheduling with utilities, city/AHJ, and meter-release inspections.
• Serve as the primary contact with utility companies and jurisdictions for shutdowns, inspections, and reconnection.
• Schedule subcontractor crews and coordinate their dates against the overall install schedule.
• Ensure every crew Job Packet is accurate before it hits the field.
• Manage local installer payroll audits and payroll application accuracy.
• Process installation reporting, and upload photos and documents into customer files.
• Manage the solar installation workflow for the Houston region.
• Initiate inspection processes and work with the Inspections Coordinator.
• Manage customer accounts in Project Sunrise from installation through project completion.
• Own regional communications — align ROM, crews, and subcontractors on schedules and blockers.
• Partner with the ROM and HR on employee relations issues.
• Back up the ROM as needed, stepping into front-half responsibilities when required.
