Job summary

Recurrent Energy, a part of Canadian Solar, is seeking an O&M Field Technician for our Blythe, CA site. The role focuses on maintenance checks, troubleshooting and repair of project equipment to meet uptime and production targets.

The ideal candidate has a college degree preferred, at least 2 years in renewable energy, and ability to read blueprints, diagnose electrical machinery, and work safely, including Lockout Tagout. Must be willing to travel and work outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum hands-on experience in renewable energy (solar, wind or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings and manuals.
• Strong safety background with Lockout Tagout and Job Hazard Analysis experience.
• Willingness to travel to project locations and work outside standard hours.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily project system issues to meet uptime goals.
• Perform routine maintenance (PMs, start-up tests) and diagnose equipment needs.
• Coordinate with maintenance team, subcontractors and other groups to improve performance.
• Ensure CMMS work orders are completed and audit warranty claims.
• Assist with project commissioning, testing and site planning.
