Job summary

Canadian Solar, a global leader in solar energy, is seeking an O&M Field Technician in Blythe, CA. The role focuses on maintenance checks, troubleshooting, and repair of solar project equipment to meet uptime and production targets.

The technician will work independently or with the maintenance team, following safety and CMMS procedures. Ideal candidates have a college degree preference and at least 2 years in renewable energy, with strong electrical/mechanical skills and good English

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in renewable energy (solar, wind or similar).
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics and manuals.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily project system issues to meet uptime goals.
• Perform routine maintenance and startup tests on equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and subcontractors for performance improvements.
• Assist with commissioning, testing, and safety trainings.
• Report and audit CMMS work orders and warranty claims.
