Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Eaton, Ohio is seeking a Solar Mechanical Superintendent to lead racking and module installation on large-scale solar sites. You will work with project managers to ensure safety, schedule, and quality while directing a multidisciplinary team across projects.

You will develop execution plans, three-week lookahead schedules, and coordinate with field engineers, estimators, and clients to meet budgets and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate/engineering degree in a related discipline.
• NCSO designation required (IND); enrollment in the Gold Seal program (CDN) preferred.
• Proficient understanding of scheduling software and ability to apply logic to develop plans.

Responsibilities

• Works with project manager to implement safety program across site plans and procedures.
• Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors project team.
• Communicates effectively with trades to meet performance, productivity, quality and safety requirements.
• Collaborates with project manager and team to manage potential problems and schedule conflicts.
• Liaises with field engineers, estimators, and subcontractors to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
• Interacts with client, other contractors, labor relations, and site/office representatives.
• Plans, schedules, and anticipates constructability issues; develops Project Execution Plan (PEP) and lookahead schedules.
• Creates and maintains project plan and schedule, ensuring budget and quality compliance.
• Reviews contracts and subcontracts to identify risks and maximize opportunities for profitability.
• Maintains project administration correspondence and documentation.
• Builds strong customer-focused relationships with stakeholders.
