Job summary

Solara Home Energy, based in Escondido, CA, is growing its Residential Installation team and hiring for Installer II. The role involves installing PV components on new construction and renovations in single- and multi-family homes, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Candidates should have at least two years of hands-on solar installation experience, valid driver's license, ability to pass background checks, and the capacity to operate a company vehicle.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on solar installation experience, including residential new construction and/or retrofit solar installations required.
  • Experience working on residential roofing systems and electrical components preferred.
  • Experience operating company vehicles in a professional capacity preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company MVR requirements
  • Reliable transportation to report to assigned job sites.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Execute installation of attachments, racking systems, micro-inverters, optimizers, inverters, rough electrical, finish electrical equipment etc. on 1-3 story new construction buildings.
  • Complete wiring and electrical connections between solar panels, inverters, and electrical panels.
  • Perform layout measurements and ensure panels are properly aligned and secured.
  • Seal and weatherproof roof penetrations to maintain roof integrity.
  • Install conduit, disconnects, and other safety equipment as required by electrical codes.
  • Maintain professional conduct and quality installation.
  • Complete and adhere to all safety training and protocol.
