Job description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Solar Installer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely removing and reinstalling solar panel systems during roof replacements, repairs, or upgrades. You’ll work closely with internal project managers to ensure systems are handled with care and reinstalled efficiently, meeting all electrical and structural standards.

Responsibilities
  • Detach and remove existing solar panels, racking, and related electrical components
  • Store and label all components for accurate reinstallation
  • Reinstall solar systems post-roof work, ensuring optimal function and code compliance
  • Inspect system components for wear or damage during removal and reinstallation
  • Coordinate with roofing crews and customers to ensure minimal disruption
  • Test and commission systems post-reset to ensure operational status
  • Maintain job site cleanliness and safety standards
  • Document all work and update project management systems with completion notes and photos
Qualifications
  • 1+ year experience in solar installation or related electrical/roofing field (installation experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of residential solar systems, racking, and inverters (Enphase, SolarEdge, etc.)
  • Comfortable working on roofs and using ladders, harnesses, and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of NEC electrical codes
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions
  • Able to climb ladders, work at heights, and stand for extended periods
  • NABCEP Certification, and any manufacturer certifications are a plus
