Job summary

Venture Home is seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to join our Inside Sales - Reactivation team in Stamford, Connecticut. This is a full-time, in-person role with a 9 AM–5 PM schedule and a pay rate of $18 per hour plus commission and benefits.

You will work with senior leadership to reach homeowners across the Northeast, educate them about solar energy and home electrification, and schedule meetings with our sales team.

Qualifications

• Curious, coachable and eager to learn (not required to be enrolled in school).
• Strong work ethic with ownership of responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and active listening.
• Persistence and positive attitude in face of rejection.
• Interest in solar, home electrification and Northeast customers.
• Desire to grow and take on greater responsibility.
• Availability to work in person in Stamford for the full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to prospective customers by phone, email, and other approved channels.
• Explain solar energy and home electrification; connect them with resources.
• Identify customer needs to trigger conversations with the sales team.
• Schedule qualified appointments and follow up to keep customers informed.
• Coordinate outreach with senior leadership and operations for a smooth handoff to sales.
• Keep accurate records of conversations, appointments, and follow-up activities.
• Participate in training and coaching to improve communication, customer service, and sales skills.
• Work toward outreach and appointment-setting goals.
