Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is hiring a Project Manager Solar Independent Engineering (Distributed Generation, Residential & Storage) to oversee diverse solar and storage projects across North America.

You will manage scope, schedule and budget, perform due diligence, support major accounts and contribute to proposals in a collaborative, high-performing team.

This role offers a hybrid work setup across multiple US offices and opportunities to advance in a global renewable energy leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, energy, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant solar industry experience.
• Strong project and time management skills, including balancing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Understanding of distributed generation, community solar, and residential solar project development.
• Knowledge of energy industry technology and PV system components.
• Proven HSE mindset and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project life cycle for distributed generation, residential, and solar + storage projects.
• Manage scope, schedule and budget, ensuring on‑time delivery and client satisfaction.
• Perform due diligence, contribute to proposals, and support major customer accounts.
• Share knowledge and contribute to process improvements and continuous learning.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, energy, or other related field

Minimum 3 years of relevant solar industry experience

Strong project and time management skills

Fluent in written and verbal English

Understanding of distributed generation, community solar, and residential solar project development

Solution oriented thinking and integrity

Proven Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) mindset
