Job summary

Sunrun Inc. seeks a Hybrid Field Technician to support solar installation from site assessment through final inspection. You will gather measurements, photographs, and data to feed design, while ensuring compliance with internal standards and local codes. Hands-on field work and problem-solving are key.

The role requires roof access, ladder work, and collaboration with installers to deliver high-quality, inspected solar systems. A safety-focused mindset and accurate data handling are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, PV experience preferred.
• Field construction experience with reading blueprints or plans.
• Comfort on roofs, ladders, confined spaces, and outdoor work.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels using standard tools.
• Climb ladders, walk rooftops, and inspect attics as needed.
• Submit survey data in a timely, accurate manner via mobile tools.
• Conduct post-install inspections to ensure readiness for AHJ/utility approval.
• Confirm installed systems match plans and meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with install teams and project managers to resolve issues.
• Schedule inspections with AHJ and customers.
