ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Maintenance Technician to oversee onsite operations and ensure safe, efficient maintenance of solar modules, strings, trackers, and inverters at Raleigh-area sites. The role requires 50–70% travel to solar sites, leading crews, training new members, and maintaining documentation through CMMS.

The position emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork, with opportunities to advance within a growing renewables-focused company.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in solar PV preferred.
• Adheres to safety culture to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ability to identify and mitigate hazards on solar arrays.
• Interpret site electrical drawings for DC circuits.
• Determine voltage/current levels from drawings and on-site.
• Advanced troubleshooting of DC circuits to resolve issues.
• In-depth knowledge of single-axis tracking systems.
• Proficient with MS Office and documentation practices.
• Experience documenting work in CMMS.
• Experience managing RMA logistics; sUAS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Motivate team members and foster a collaborative environment.
• Onboard and train new crew in safety, procedures, software, and docs.
• Provide clear guidance for daily onsite tasks and operations.
• Maintain thorough work summaries for project tracking.
• Monitor parts inventory and communicate supply needs.
• Ensure tools/equipment are maintained and replaced as needed.
