Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Maintenance Technician to oversee on-site operations for the Array Optimization Team, ensuring safety and efficiency across tasks. The role requires travel to solar sites and coordination with field crews to maintain high workmanship standards.

Responsibilities include training new crew members, leading daily tasks, maintaining documentation, and managing inventory and tools to support site performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working in solar PV.
• Identify and mitigate hazards associated with solar array systems.
• Interpret site-specific electrical characteristics from technical drawings.
• Ability to determine voltage and current levels of site DC circuits from drawings and on-site observations.

Responsibilities

• Motivate team members to achieve their full potential and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Onboard and train new crew members in safety protocols, technical procedures, software usage, and documentation practices.
• Provide clear guidance and leadership for daily onsite tasks, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Uphold high standards of work documentation and provide thorough summaries to maintain clear communication and project tracking.
• Monitor parts inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and replaced as necessary.
