Job summary

EDP Renewables NA is seeking a motivated technician to handle on-site operations, maintenance, and replacement of solar field equipment. You will perform LOTO procedures, safety briefings, and inspections to ensure safe and reliable solar generation across EDPR sites.

The role requires travel from Mojave to Lucerne Valley and ability to work independently while adhering to environmental health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of college or technical school education or equivalent training and experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in solar energy or related industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting systems; familiarity with testing equipment.
• Experience with power plant operations, solar plant components, and high-voltage safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of solar field equipment and related components.
• Perform repairs/replacements per manufacturers' requirements and OEM manuals.
• Read schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Comply with safety programs, document work in SAP, and supervise contractors as needed.
• Travel to other sites as required and respond to on-call emergencies.
