Job summary

Silicon Ranch is seeking a Solar Maintenance Technician II – Field Operations to be on-site in Memphis, TN. You will perform corrective and preventive maintenance on the solar PV facility, including electrical and mechanical components, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep production running.

The role requires outdoor work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using testing tools like IV Curve Tracers and Power Quality Meters.

Qualifications

• Intermediate skills with computers and electronic equipment.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, and OSHA standards.
• Valid Driver’s License Required.
• OSHA 30 (must be obtained within 4 weeks of employment).
• CPR/BLS (must be obtained within 4 weeks of employment).
• State electrical license or NABCEP certification desired.
• Ability to perform localized travel of up to 2 hours each way.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on PV systems, UPS, SCADA, substation, MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Perform corrective maintenance on PV system components and subsystems.
• Respond to emergency dispatches for critical systems as directed.
• Log all work in the Silicon Ranch CMMS platform.
• Conduct electrical testing with IV Curve Tracers and Power Quality Meters.
• Assist with field investigations for predictive analytics and root cause analysis.
• Provide site access to third party contractors as directed.
• Assist with site tasks such as land management and vegetation management.
• Attend internal and external training sessions as directed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
