Solar Field Service Technician, Level II

Our advanced Solar Field Service Technicians (Photovoltaic Repair) conduct inspections and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems, prioritizing safety and environmental compliance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, testing, repairing solar panels, and mentoring team members. Candidates should reside within 50 miles of Columbus, Ohio.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot inverters, combiner boxes, and replace/repair string lines.
• Perform LOTO, IV Curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans.
• Operate and maintain solar power plants per standards and procedures.
• Maintain safety protocols and professionalism.
• Resolve solar system issues promptly.
• Document work activities accurately.
• Drive company vehicle safely and maintain it properly.

Core Experience

• 2+ years' experience on solar sites.
• Electrical and power electronics troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety policies, NFPA 70E/OSHA 10 training.
• Ability to troubleshoot with digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Physical/Work Environment

Candidates must comply with OSHA Standards, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in various weather conditions within 50 miles of Columbus, Ohio.
