Job summary

Power Electronics seeks a Field Services Technician to ensure optimal performance of utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems across the U.S. You will start up, commission, configure, and troubleshoot equipment at photovoltaic plants, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in field service or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment, a Journeyman or Master Electrician license or equivalent, and a degree in electrical engineering

Qualifications

• Education or licenses: Journeyman or Master’s Electrician license.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
• Certifications: OSHA, NFPA 70E or similar safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.
• Configure and operate systems according to specifications.
• Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field.
• Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, electronic boards, AC/DC fuses, fans, and filters.
• Submit accurate daily field reports detailing work performed and time spent.
• Maintain inventory of assigned parts and company property.
