Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years electrical experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Journeyman or equivalent electrical license preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Willingness to travel locally and overtime.
• State electrical certification or license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments.
• Commission new systems and upgrades while complying with NEC, AHJ, and utility requirements.
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment.
• Maintain service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout, and fall protection.
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty repairs as needed.
• Communicate system status and repair recommendations with homeowners and customers.
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites.
