Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Electrical Field Project Engineer to support large utility-scale solar projects across multiple states. You will assist the Electrical Assistant and Electrical Project Manager in administrative and technical management, and interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

The role requires experience in construction project management, strong communication, and basic finance skills, with extensive travel and a full-time, exempt position.

Qualifications

• Six months to one-year solar internship or full-time experience as a project engineer or assistant project engineer
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with construction project management applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with owners' representatives, A/E teams, building departments and other team members
• Basic finance skills are required

Responsibilities

• Crew management and supervision of startup activities, mobilization, and scheduling
• Expedites materials: submittal log, fabrication and delivery schedule, and coordination drawings
• Coordinates construction activities with the Superintendent and conducts meetings
• Facilitates project administration: change orders, insurance/bonding, RFI processes, and status reports
• Tracks project costs: subcontractor pay requests, owner payments, and cost reporting
• Supports change order process: pricing, scope changes, and negotiations
• Performs other duties as assigned
