Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Electrical Field Project Engineer to support the Electrical Superintendent on utility-scale solar projects. This role involves coordinating procurement, scheduling, and site activities across multi-state sites with high travel demands.

Ideal candidates have a minimum 6–12 months solar internship or related project engineering experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with construction management software.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1-year minimum Solar internship or full-time experience as a project engineer or assistant project engineer, or electrical foreman in the construction industry
• Strong computer skills are a necessity, including familiarity with construction project management applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and are required to interface directly with owners' representatives, the A/E team, building departments and other team members
• Basic finance skills are required

Responsibilities

• Crew Management, Reporting, Tool Connex, Material Acquisition duties.
• Expedites materials: develops submittal log, fabrication and delivery schedule, verifies fabrication status.
• Coordinates construction activities with Superintendent, conducts pre-construction meetings, tracks progress and maintains logs.
• Manages project administration: meeting agendas/minutes, RFI process, and Prolog maintenance.
• Tracks project costs: pay requests, owner payments, back charges, labor cost reports.
• Supports change order process: creates change requests, assesses scope impacts, negotiates costs.
